Stemming from her growing interest in owls, Linda found the Snowy Owl. This hardy bird nests in Arctic tundra … burr … but occasionally visits the Maine coast. The Snowy Owl is magnificent in its strength yet simple is its beauty. Quiet but intense, the Snowy Owl will stare-down any adversary. Linda says she had so much fun giving this bird its “don’t mess with me” personality … I admire it. So she cranked up Neil Diamond and painted. The brush stokes flowed simply and freely. Her mind was quiet. For Linda this was a first; simply being in the moment without thought. Painting this owl was “pure joy”.
